Ashleigh Miller

Ashleigh is a third-year PhD candidate in the lab working on the Magnetotelluric Imaging of the Salton Trough (MIST) project. She received her bachelors of science in geophysical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2023.

She has extensive land fieldwork experience in different environment, using multiple geophysical methods but her main focus has been magnetotellurics. She spent a year working for the United States Geologic Survey under the Geomagnatism Group. While there she learned about data archival, operations at the Boulder Geomagnetic Observatory, and deployed MT sites around the Colorado Rockies. Recently, she has spent time as a Crew Lead/Field Technician in Idaho with Moombarriga Geosciences.

She has taught both field and lab-based courses where she encouraged learning and helped get students excited about geosciences. Outside of teaching, she has actively particapted in organizations and panels for encouraging and mentoring women currently in or are interested in geosciences.
