Ashleigh is a second-year PhD student in the lab working on the Magnetotelluric Imaging of the Salton Trough (MIST) project. She received her bachelors of science in geophysical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2023, where she spent time doing glaciology research with the Mines Glaciology Lab. She has had extensive land fieldwork experience in different environments and using multiple geophysical methods but her main focus has been magnetotellurics. She spent a year working with the United States Geologic Survey under the Geomagnetism Group, where she learned about data archival and operations of the geomagnetic observatory in Boulder, CO.

She also helped teach both field and lab-based courses where she encouraged learning and helped get students excited about geosciences.
